What’s New in Kriyo – January 2025

Learning Management System (LMS)

We’re excited to announce that LMS is now live on Kriyo as part of the PRO+ plan.

After launching a beta version earlier and incorporating feedback from early users, the LMS is now ready to support structured lesson planning, assessments, and progress tracking—across web and mobile.

With LMS, schools can:

• Create and customise lessons and lesson plans
• Share different types of learning content in one place
• Use customisable assessment templates
• Control what lessons are visible to teachers and parents
• Track lesson completion and student progress
• Generate progress reports instantly

Key Improvements

• Staff can access assigned lesson plans on both mobile and web apps
• Lesson plans for each subject are displayed together using a sliding view
• Subject names are clearly shown on lesson cards
• Share with Parents lets schools decide exactly what parents can see
• Schools can select or unselect specific sections within a lesson before sharing

Fee Management Enhancements

Several updates have been added to improve flexibility, visibility, and control over fee operations.

• A new permission, Invoices – View Access, allows teachers to:
• View invoices for assigned programs
• Send payment reminders
• Download receipts
• Schools can now download Due, Paid, and Partly Paid bills together
• Fee reminder notifications are now sent:
• 7 days before due date
• 1 day before due date
• On the due date
• 1 day and 3 days after the due date
• On the web app, clicking Add Penalty for overdue invoices now shows an alert and redirects users to the edit screen
• Customisable Fee Receipts allow schools to:
• Add logos, custom headers/footers, and optional signatures
• Configure different receipt formats for each payment gateway
• Automatically apply designs without rework
• Payment Gateways can now be updated in bulk, even for Rejected andPartly Paid invoices
• Program invoices now show:
• Number of children with invoices generated
• Total children in the program
• Schools without a payment gateway can set a default customised receipt from Admin Tools → Configurations → Customise Fee Receipt

New Feature: Academic Year (AY) Support

The Academic Year (AY) concept is now available to make fee management and reporting more structured.

Schools can:

• Add academic years and set the current AY from configurations
• Select AY while creating or editing fee templates
• Assign AY when adding, editing, or marking invoices as paid
• Use the Actions button to apply an AY to multiple invoices at once
• Generate reports based on selected AY (current AY loads by default)

This ensures consistent fee tracking across years. AY support will be extended to other modules soon.

Enquiries Updates

We’ve improved enquiry tracking and branding visibility.

• Admins can now filter enquiries by “Assigned To” to review counsellor performance
• Franchise Head Offices can share enquiries directly with centres
• These enquiries are marked as Franchise HO under the source field
• 2025–26 is now available as an academic year option in the enquiry form
• When accessed via QR or link, enquiry forms now display only the school’s branding, removing Kriyo branding for a more premium experience

Watermark Enhancements

Schools can now add their logo as a watermark on photos shared with parents.

• Configure watermark size and position from Kriyo Web
• Watermarks apply to Diary and Photos (Albums coming soon)
• No size limit on watermark images
• Transparent black background removed—schools can upload watermarks with custom backgrounds

Customisable Welcome Message

Schools can now customise the welcome message sent to parents when a child profile is created.

• If not customised, the default message will be used
• Helps schools maintain a consistent tone and branding

Parent App Improvements

• Transaction charges are now visible for parents in Value packageschools
• Video Download setting now controls assessment downloads
• Parents can select a custom date range on the home screen (up to 360 days)
• If permitted, parents can now update or replace profile picturesfor their child

Transport App Updates

• Drivers can call parents directly from the app (admin-controlled)
• Staff receive notifications when a route starts
• Route Tracker now displays Start Time and End Time

Children & Staff Profile Updates

• New permission added for accessing Deactivated Profiles
• Child Registration ID is now visible in view and edit screens
• New Student ID Card templates (with parent phone/address, with or without QR)
• New Staff ID Card templates (with contact details)
• Improved Excel format when downloading staff permissions

Other Platform Enhancements

• Users can choose custom notification sounds
• School lists are now alphabetically sorted
• Staff Communication edits now allow modifying likes and comments
• Notification History UI improvements
• Automatic refresh of school counts after bulk actions
• Attendance summary redirects only when today’s date is selected
• URLs are now clickable in web notification history
• New ID card templates added (10 for children, 6 for staff)
• Attendance reports can now be generated for up to 1 year
• Reminder notifications enabled globally
• Option added to delete selected assessments
• Albums feature now available on web
• Web app versioning added (auto-updates enabled)
• Multiple star types can now be selected when appreciating a child
