This December release brings meaningful improvements designed to give schools greater control, clarity, and confidence in everyday operations. From smarter approvals to better planning and clearer reports, these updates help school teams work more smoothly—without adding complexity.
We’ve introduced My Tasks, a new way for schools to review and approve activities before they are shared with parents—bringing greater control, clarity, and accountability to everyday communication.
With My Tasks, activity updates follow a clear review process, ensuring that what reaches parents is accurate, complete, and aligned with school guidelines.
Activities created by staff are now submitted for review instead of being shared instantly, giving school leaders better oversight.
Staff submit activities, while Centre Admins have final authority—creating a simple, well-defined approval flow.
Each activity clearly shows whether it is Pending, Approved, or Rejected, so everyone knows exactly where it stands.
Approved activities are shared with parents automatically, with optional auto-approval to ensure timely communication when reviews are pending.
Schools can configure activity approval rules from Kriyo Web → Configurations → Approvals Setup.
From here, school leaders can:
To review and approve submitted activities, the appropriate permission must be enabled in the Staff Profile.
Once a teacher submits an activity for review, it becomes visible in:
This shared visibility helps everyone stay aligned on what’s pending and what’s already been acted on.
Approvers and admins can use My Tasks to:
Until an activity is approved, the teacher who submitted it can still make changes if needed.
This gives teachers the flexibility to correct or refine updates, while ensuring that only approved content reaches parents.
To prevent delays in parent communication, schools can enable auto-approval:
Once activities are submitted, teachers can track their status from the History → School Activity Log:
We’ve added a new Working Days configuration at the school level, giving schools greater flexibility and consistency in how schedules and reports are managed.
Schools can now define their working days directly from the School Profile and apply them seamlessly across programs—reducing manual effort and ensuring alignment across the system.
Configure official working days centrally from the School Profile.
Ensure uniform schedules and consistent attendance calculations across programs.
We’ve made a set of thoughtful enhancements that make everyday tasks clearer, faster, and more informative for school teams.
Children and staff attendance reports now include working days, holidays, and average hours, offering clearer insights.
Notice and Calendar titles now support longer text (200 chars), making updates easier to understand at a glance.
Filters in the Expenses Summary are now visible by default, helping teams find information faster.
Photos are displayed more clearly, enhancing the viewing experience for schools and parents.
Alongside new features, this release includes important behind-the-scenes improvements to ensure Kriyo continues to run smoothly and reliably. These updates help maintain consistent performance and a dependable experience across key workflows—supporting schools as their operations grow.
