With Kriyo’s Custom Fields, you can now add the information that is unique to your school’s requirements—giving your team greater flexibility without being limited to predefined fields.
Add custom fields for Children and Staff Profiles based on your school’s needs.
Capture additional administrative, academic, medical, compliance, or operational information that matters to your institution.
Custom fields are configured from the Kriyo Web platform. Once configured, they automatically become available on both Web and Mobile, keeping Child and Staff Profiles consistent across your school’s devices.
Your Admission Reports now include children's custom fields, giving you access to additional information alongside your admission data. This makes it easier to review and analyse admissions with the details that matter to your school, all in one report.
Your school has its own way of working. Now your profiles can reflect it.
Rich text formatting is now available in the Diary on both Android and iOS, bringing the same formatting experience already available on Kriyo Web to mobile.
You can now use formatting such as bold, underline, and other rich text options when creating Diary updates from your mobile device.
We’ve also improved rich text compatibility across Web, Android, and iOS. Formatting issues and unexpected links or content that could appear when Diary messages were created or approved across different platforms have now been fixed.
This ensures Diary updates look consistent and work smoothly, regardless of which device or platform is used.
Kriyo now checks slot availability at the beginning of the process, so you know immediately if additional slots are required.
This applies when you:
Earlier, slot availability was checked only after all the required details were entered and the user clicked Save. If all slots were already in use, the user would see an error at that stage and have to start over after purchasing additional slots.
Now, Kriyo checks for available slots as soon as you start any of these actions. If there are no available slots, a clear message lets you know that all slots are currently in use and additional slots are required.
For schools linked to a preschool chain, the message will guide them to contact their Head Office for more slots.
This saves time and avoids entering or updating child details when there are no slots available.
Schools can now use the new Admission Reports option in Children Profiles to get a clear view of how many children were admitted during a particular year or selected period.
You can filter admissions based on Profile Created Date or Joining Date and choose a Custom Date Range to look at a specific period. The report can be downloaded in Excel format for further analysis or record-keeping.
Whether you want to see how many admissions your school received during the academic year or check admissions within a specific period, the new Admission Report gives you an easy way to get that information in one place.
It can help school administrators track admission numbers, review trends, and maintain admission records more easily.
Children Profile reports are now more consistent across All Programs and individual programs.
Downloaded reports now include address details for individual programs as well, and names are sorted A–Z, making it easier to find and manage children in larger reports.
This makes downloaded reports easier to read, search, and work with.
Fixed an issue in the iOS School App where attachment uploads could get stuck if the app was closed or removed from the background while uploads were in progress.
Uploads will now resume correctly from where they stopped, ensuring that the remaining attachments are processed without getting stuck in the queue.
Reviewing attendance records is now easier with improved sorting in Children and Staff Attendance Reports.
Schools can now sort attendance records directly by clicking on the relevant column headers, making it easier to organise and find the information they need.
When managing attendance for multiple children and staff members, finding specific records in a large report can be time-consuming.
With the new sorting options, administrators can organise attendance data, quickly locate specific records, and review reports more efficiently without manually searching through the entire list.
This improvement is available in both Children and Staff Attendance Reports.
You can now refresh the Enquiry Timeline to quickly see the latest updates without leaving the page.
This makes it easier to keep enquiry information up to date while managing follow-ups and admissions.
Parent Notes now show the child’s name, photo, and program details along with the message.
This makes it easier for schools to quickly identify the child and understand the context before replying, especially when multiple children have the same name.
Managing notices is now easier with improved search, filtering, and sorting in the Notice Board.
These improvements help schools find important announcements faster and keep their Notice Board organised.
Schools now have greater flexibility when creating assessments, with decimal values in assessment scales and an increased character limit for domains and subdomains.
This month, we’ve made several improvements to Fee Management to make invoicing, reporting, and fee collection more accurate, flexible, and easier to manage.
Waive late fee penalties while allowing parents to pay in-app
Schools can now waive a late fee penalty without changing the invoice due date, while still allowing parents to pay the actual fee directly through the Parent App.
You can waive the penalty for one or multiple invoices at once from the Program Invoices or Child Invoices option in Kriyo web using the Actions button → Waive Off Late Fee Penalty option. You can also waive the penalty for an individual invoice directly from its overdue status.
This gives schools more flexibility to accommodate genuine parent requests, while allowing parents to complete the payment through the app without the waived penalty.
Fee summary cards such as Paid, Partly Paid, Due, and Overdue now show both the amount and invoice count.
This makes it easier to understand not just the total amount, but also how many invoices contribute to the amount — for example, how many invoices are currently overdue.
In Child Invoices, you can also now see the last bill sent date for each child, making it easier to identify children who may have been missed when sharing bills.
You can now choose whether deactivated or deleted programs should be included in invoice totals.
By default, these invoices are excluded, keeping your totals focused on currently active programs unless you choose otherwise.
When adding or editing a program fee, you can now choose to apply the updated fee to all existing children mapped to that program.
Simply select the option while saving the fee, and the updated program fee will be applied to all relevant children in one go.
Fee templates can now be edited and saved even if a fee type used in the template has since been deleted.
This allows schools to continue updating existing templates without being blocked by a fee type that is no longer available.
Tax components are no longer displayed against the main fee type category in fee item breakups where individual sub-items may have different tax components. This keeps the tax information accurate and avoids showing a misleading tax value for the overall category.
If a child has fee bills linked to a previous or temporary program that is no longer assigned to them, those bills appear under an Other Program card in the child’s fee details.
When you click Sync to move these fee bills to the child’s current program, you will now be asked to choose the program you want to sync them to. This is especially useful when a child is associated with multiple programs.
Previously, the bills could be synced to one of the child’s programs automatically. With this enhancement, you can confirm the desired program before syncing, helping ensure that fee bills are mapped to the correct program and your data remains accurate.
We’ve made a few improvements to make inventory information easier to share and orders easier to manage.
You can now export your current stock and bundle information to Excel, including quantities, selling prices, cost prices, and other relevant details.
This is especially useful when you need to share current inventory information without giving someone access to the Inventory module.
The Academic Year selection has been moved to the Order Items section while creating an order. This makes the flow more intuitive — select the academic year and then add the relevant inventory items.
You can now download order details as a PDF directly from the order details page, making it easier to save, print, or share order information.
This month, we’ve made several improvements to LMS to make lesson planning, staff assignment, and day-to-day lesson management simpler and more flexible.
Managing school transport is now easier with improved route sorting, search options, and driver license management.
Managing inventory across multiple centres just became more flexible with Partial Fulfillment.
When a centre places an order and the head office does not have enough stock to fulfill the entire order, the head office can now send the available items first while the remaining items stay pending until they are available.
For example, if a centre orders 10 school bags and the head office has only 6 available, the 6 available bags can be shipped immediately while the remaining 4 stay pending.
This is available on the new HO Dashboard and new web platform.
Partial Fulfillment now works across individual items as well as bundles.
For individual items, the available quantity can be fulfilled while the remaining quantity stays pending.
For bundles, you can now partially fulfill the bundle by sending the available items from the remaining quantity, even when one or more items are unavailable.
For example, if a centre orders 50 admission kits and the head office has enough stock to complete 40 kits but does not have enough school bags for the remaining 10, the 40 complete kits can be fulfilled first. The available items from the remaining kits can also be managed separately as part of the partial fulfillment process.
You can also break a bundle into individual item orders, giving head offices more flexibility when managing stock across different shipments.
When an order is fulfilled in parts, it is important to know what has already been shipped and what is still pending.
The updated inventory experience provides better visibility across shipments, including:
The order status now uses Delivered instead of Fulfilled where applicable.
Along with Partial Fulfillment, several inventory management improvements make it easier to track and manage orders.
Head offices can now:
Centres do not always need to wait for an entire order to be available before receiving supplies.
With Partial Fulfillment, available items can reach centres sooner while the remaining items continue to be tracked separately. This helps centres keep their day-to-day operations moving while giving head offices better visibility into what has been shipped, what is pending, and what still needs to be fulfilled.
For teams managing inventory across multiple centres, clearer bundle breakdowns, shipment history, stock updates, and downloadable records also make it easier to keep inventory organised and orders on track.
