Schools observe countless moments that reflect a child’s growth — speech development, behaviour changes, social interactions, gross motor skills, learning patterns, or challenges that may need extra support. But most of these insights stay in the teacher’s mind or get noted informally, making it difficult to track progress or share structured feedback during parent-teacher meetings.
Kriyo’s Observations feature brings a clear, organised, and private system for teachers and school leaders to record these insights consistently throughout the academic year. Unlike other communication features, Observations are not shared with parents automatically. They remain an internal, professional tool that helps schools provide accurate, evidence-based feedback when needed.
Teachers often notice patterns and developments over weeks or months. Without a structured place to store these observations, it becomes challenging to recall details later — especially during parent-teacher meetings or when multiple staff members handle the same class.
Kriyo provides a dedicated space where teachers can:
This creates a dependable timeline of each child’s progress from the day they join the school.
During parent-teacher meetings, the most difficult task is recalling everything that happened over the term — especially subtle behaviours, learning gaps, improvements, or challenges.
With Kriyo, teachers can quickly review:
This makes conversations with parents more grounded, confident, and constructive — backed by clear records instead of memory.
Every school works differently, and so does every teacher. Kriyo allows schools to create their own categories for observations, such as:
Teachers can select the appropriate type, write their notes, or even attach supporting files — making documentation richer and more insightful.
Sometimes a written note is not enough.
Kriyo allows teachers to attach:
This creates a more complete and accurate record of the child’s development.
Observations stored in Kriyo are not visible to parents by default. This ensures teachers can document sensitive or developmental concerns without worrying about how to communicate them immediately.
The school can choose to download and share relevant observations with parents when appropriate.
If teachers observe something that needs urgent attention from school leaders — such as a behavioural concern or something alarming — they can enable the Notify Staff option.
When selected:
If this option is not selected, the observation is still visible to the management, but without notifications.
School leaders can easily access the entire set of observations recorded for any child. To view them, go to Track & Act → History, and in the pop-up, select Child Activity Log. Tap on the child’s profile, where you will see an exact replica of the parent app homepage — all updates sent by the school, just as the parent sees them.
In addition to these updates, you will find an Observations button on the top right. When you click on it, you can view all the observations captured for that child over time. If required, you can also download this information using the download option available on the screen.
Kriyo’s Observation feature improves day-to-day operations by:
This makes every teacher more effective and every school more confident in the way they track developmental milestones.
Record observations effortlessly, track progress with clarity, and elevate your school’s parent-teacher communication.
